Whatever Makes You Feel Safe is a collaboration EP between Canadian producer and singer Marie Davidson and Berlin-based sound designer Invisible Church.
Marie Davidson needs no introduction. Around since 2012, her latest album Adieux Au Dancefloor on Veronica Vasicka's Cititrax brought her to the worldwide attention she deserves.
Invisible Church is Ukrainian but currently Berlin-based sound designer.
His sound is built around massive analog synthesizers carefully blended with raw field recordings and aggressive percussions.
They met in Montreal during Red Bull Music Academy festival and shared the idea of exploring the concept of feeling safe both on a personal level and as a part of the society.
This EP starts with a heavy cinematic Collage then continues with tense rhythmical Never Release the Tension and ends with a 10-minute healing ambient piece Ten Years where you can also hear live symbals played by Theo Parrish.

Marie Davidson's Un Autre Voyage is my next step down a newly built appreciation for Synthwave. This is music for a dark night drive - shady and foreboding - it raises the hairs, tightens the grip, and invades your space. Christopher Moklebust
